Please join us! Membership in the Great Barrington Historical Society is open to anyone interested in local history. Enjoy interesting guest speakers at our bi-monthly meetings. You get a wealth of information and entertainment! And there’s always a surprise or two! Not to mention plenty of palate-pleasing refreshments after each meeting! (And there is no admission charge!) Receive our exclusive Newsletter. Editor Bernard Drew continues to astound us year after year with his interesting discoveries and educational articles. Each issue is packed with good stuff! Past issues are already considered collectors' items!
Most importantly, your
membership in the Great Barrington Historical Society gives you the
opportunity to help preserve our past.
Even
if you are unable to attend
our meetings, your membership contribution plays a vital role in the
preservation of our historical heritage. The Society currently stores its
collection in space kindly provided at the Ramsdell Library in Housatonic.
However, it is a primary goal of the Society to renovate 1771Captain Truman
Wheeler House as our future headquarters, museum and research center.
